There is always a new social media trend for book influencers, and keeping on top of these is as tough as keeping on top of our TBR’s! This Spring we are introducing a new series of blogs and social posts where we give you the latest scoop on what’s currently happening on social media. That way you can dedicate more time to your TBR and leave the trend-spotting with us.
Instagram recently rolled out a new Reels feature, where you can include multiple clickable reels and links within your video. This social media trend is great for book influencers to showcase reading vlogs or monthly reading wrapped content. You could use this to re-share all your reviews of your favourite books over the month, or include a link to another video you mention in a vlog.
Some creators have already started trying out the feature and it looks like a GREAT addition to our Instagram feeds.
Many book influencers are embracing the whimsy aesthetic. This trend adds playful, cozy, and creative elements to your bookish social media content. Whimsy is more than an aesthetic, it’s a lifestyle of leaning into the things that make you excited and at peace. When the world seems like it’s on fire, embracing the whimsy is a way of making the mundane special. For me it’s simple things like adding sprinkles to my iced coffee, wrapping my books to create blind dates or simply reading with a cozy blanket and tea. You can make whimsy exactly what you need it to be.
On social media there are multiple ways to incorporate whimsy into your feed to embrace the trend, but also create your own pockets of peace. Here’s a general overview of the trend
One social media trend for book influencers is adding coffee mugs or matcha drinks to your edits. This is really easy to do using tools such as Canva or Picsart.

Scrolling through social media to spot trends for your content can sometimes feel overwhelming. But don’t worry, we’ve got the latest scoop on this social media trend for book influencers so you can focus on creating instead of endless scrolling. A cozy trend that resurfaced in March is anti-doomscrolling suggestions. This trend encourages book creators to limit screen time and enjoy more offline moments.
Try sharing your favorite tips in a fun collage, or ask your audience for their ideas to make your post interactive and engaging. Some of our favorite ways to refill the creative cup include hot girl audiobook walks, cozy coloring sessions, and organizing your book collection.
